ROCK HOUNDERS PARADISE
- We are here primarily to be the home base for our local rock hounding community.
- We do trips almost every weekend weather permitting. The club is designed so you can hound our claims and sites any time with or without the group.
- Our club is designed to educate and teach new and old hounders how and where to hound ethically with your loved ones.
GEMSTONES AND SUPPLIES
- We sell rock hounding tools, lapidary equipment and rocks and gems from all localities.
- We have classes for Wire wrapping, Flint Knapping, Lapidary & Silver Smithing at the rock shop.
- We give away thunder eggs to every customer and every kid gets one as an award for not being an adult every time they come into the shop. We cut them for you too before you leave.
Family Fun
- We have a Facebook page to share and discuss stones, rockhounding and where and how to find areas to go hounding.
- All classes and digs are scheduled and posted under the events tab at the top of our Facebook page with the exception of lapidary classes. We teach lapidary every day and accept walk in classes.
- Please visit the store located at 1150 North Orchard Street in Boise, Idaho. We are open 11am-7pm seven days a week.
MEET THE OWNER
Hello, I'm Craig Branham and I am the owner of Idaho Rocks and Gems Rock Shop & Rock Club. I was raised in Northern Idaho in a town called Bonners Ferry. There wasn’t much to do, but run around the mountains and look for rocks. I grew to love the outdoors and the peace it provides. My family moved to Boise in 1998. I got carried away with being a teen but my Dad started a rock shop when I was in my 20’s and I fell back in love with hounding. I started a non profit rock club and it went well but after a while people started claiming the areas I took my club too and banning access to hounding so they could profit from the materials. I chose to start to claim areas I found to safeguard them for rockhounding. I then started a rock club and business where you can join for $20 for a single membership or $30 for a family for a year and can hound the claims at any time. We do digs weekly year round and the club gets to use the lapidary room 2 hours a week with their membership. We sell rock and gems from Idaho and around the world.

MEET THE OWNER
City Peanut shop was opened in 2009 during the last Great Recession. Founder, Dan Balluff went nuts and left the tech-world of cubicles and airports to re-imagine the classic peanut shops that were primarily in the Midwest and Coastal regions of America starting in the 1940’s to present day.
Since then, City Peanut Shop has become an iconic part of Downtown Boise featured in international blogs, magazines and other media. We have a wide-reaching customer base across the US and beyond who love our hand-crafted, small-batch products.
We reach a broad base of customers through our collaborations with local and regional breweries, wineries, cider houses, restaurants, gift box creators, specialized markets, grocery stores and co-ops. You can find us at hotels, tourism events, music festivals, and some national brands.

CABIN RENTALS
Pinehurst Resort Cabins is located right on the Little Salmon River, 12 miles south of Riggins, Idaho, commonly called “Idaho’s Whitewater Capital “. Our resort is nestled in a beautiful forested canyon on HWY 95 providing amazing views and a feeling of seclusion. We serve the McCall, New Meadows, and Riggins areas on HWY 95.
RV RENTALS
Our resort has seven fully furnished cabins and 1 RV site with power and water but no dumping. We also offer two stationary RV Rentals. Tent camping is also available for $18 per night. Our one RV site has nightly, weekly, and monthly rates.

We are Keith and Vicki Markley, parents of nine and grandparents of fourteen! We own the Pinehurst Resort! We moved here 6 years ago, to slow down! We found this little slice of heaven.
