Rules and guidelines for the Buried Treasure in Idaho
By purchasing this item (Clues) you understand and agree to all terms and conditions. Most importantly you understand and agree that you release all liability and responsibility from 43rd State of Mind, it's owners and employees, and that you are going on this Treasure Hunt at your own risk. You also assume all liability and responsibility of your person, guests, pets and your personal property.
The following are general guidelines.
Specific RULES and GUIDELINES will be attached to your treasure hunt clues - PLEASE familiarize yourself with them.
- Have fun and be safe.
- Please document your journey with pictures and videos.
- Be polite and respectful to others.
- Do not harass any wildlife.
- Pack plenty of water.
- Wear good hiking boots or shoes with good tread.
- Trekking poles or walking sticks are recommended as there may be some steep areas.
- Take sunscreen, there may not a lot of shade.
- Do not trespass on private property.
- Do not drive or hike if the roads and trails are muddy.
- You must honor in the hiker’s mottos of “leave no trace” and “pack it in, pack it out” and “leave it better than you found it”.
- Bring a backpack to haul out the treasure box and the red wooden “X” that marks the spot.
- You will need at least a small shovel.
- Bring a first aid kit.
- Taking snacks is highly recommended.
- There may not be cell service, be prepared.
- Download digital maps (AllTrails, onX or equivalent) or bring a well-defined and detailed paper map.
- All our treasure hunts should be accessible by a minimum of a small SUV unless otherwise noted.
- Hikes will vary in distance and difficulty. Know your limits.
- Sign in at any trailhead.
- The treasure can only be reached by foot.
